Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) of South Florida

Auto Show Continues to Raise Donations

Automobile sales aren't the only benefits of the Miami International Auto Show. Since the show first opened in 1971, the South Florida Automobile Dealers Association's efforts have helped support charitable organizations throughout Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe and Palm Beach counties.

Since it first partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) of South Florida, the auto show has helped raise nearly $300,000 throughout the years to support the organization's service programs and will again make a $15,000 donation this year.

"The Association's annual auto shows and regular activities do much more than just create exposure for the local auto industry," said Rick Baker, president of the dealers group. "We are committed to creating fundraising opportunities for the organizations we support, so a difference can be made in the lives of so many members of our community."

Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) of South Florida was established in 1981 dedicated to help local children live happier, healthier and more productive lives by supporting healthcare and medical research programs, education and the arts, and civic and social programs.

Over the past 40 years, the dealers association has donated more than $7 million to numerous charities including Habitat for Humanity, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami School of Medicine, the Boys and Girls Clubs in Miami-Dade and Broward counties, Sheridan House, Easter Seals, Parkway Academy at Broward Community College and others.
